Jackie Long On How An A*sh0le Actor Influenced Him To Start His New Company

While in Los Angeles promoting his new film “Ringside,” Jackie Long chatted with Baller Alert correspondent @onetakestace about his new business venture, ActorGang Entertainment. According to Jackie, the new company will be geared towards getting the youth involved in acting, helping cultivate their skills and giving them the confidence to pursue their passion. He also reveals that this idea was inspired by an a*sh0le who shrugged him off years ago.

According to Jackie, he was just a young kid when he asked one of his favorite actors for a picture. Unfortunately, things didn’t go the way he expected. 

“Growing up there were a lot of people that I looked up to and, I don’t want to say their names, but they were an a*sh0le,” he tells Baller Alert. “I said to myself, if I ever became famous, or made it in life, I would never be that a*sh0le. And I love kids, so anything that has to do with talking or speaking [to them], I’m all in for it. So, I’ve always got that dude in the back of my mind that was an a*sh0le. That’s why I’m so crazy and energetic and so humble. It’s because I think of that dude.”

Though Jackie Long didn’t reveal who the a*sh0le was, he says that he’s since seen him in public and now that a*sh0le has fallen off. “I saw the a*sh0le again and he tried to compliment me on my success. I just said ‘I Appreciate It’ and walked away. I think at the time (previously) they thought they were the sh*t and they’re not really the sh*t now.”

You hear that folks, if someone is an a*sh0le to you, don’t harp on it. Use that moment as inspiration to become the best you that YOU can be. You never know, you may surpass the person who didn’t believe in you.
