Last weekend, Browns quarterback (though not for much longer) Johnny Manziel was reportedly involved in an incident with his ex-girlfriend Colleen Crowley that led to the cops being called. After talking to Crowley and later Manziel, the police continued to investigate the incident this week to determine whether or not Manziel should be charged with a crime.

On Thursday afternoon, the official police report was released by the Fort Worth Police Department, revealing all the details surrounding that night. According to Crowley, the domestic dispute began at a Dallas hotel. The two were partying with some friends and after their friends left, Manziel and Crowley started arguing. Manziel then allegedly hit her several times, striking her left ear. The two then got in a car together as Manziel drove Crowley home. They started yelling at each other again and according to her, Manziel proceeded to hit her several more times. He also allegedly told her to “shut up or I’ll kill us both”. By the time they got to her house in Fort Worth, Crowley was trying to get away from Manziel. She ran to a neighbor’s house while Manziel left on foot. Crowley also added that Manziel had not been drinking but seemed like he was on drugs.

Though the details of the night according to Crowley seem extremely incriminating, the police have decided that they are not going to charge Manziel. Though they did not state specific reasons, the fact that Crowley was uncooperative with police after giving her initial statement and did not want to file a report probably aided their decision. Fort Worth PD and Dallas PD announced today that their investigation is closed.

While Crowley’s statements to the police paint one picture of what happened that night, Manziel maintains his innocence. “It didn’t happen,” Manziel said in an interview with TMZ. “I’m completely stable. I’m safe and secure.”
