Cindy Crawford is saying goodbye to the world of modeling soon. In the February issue of United Airlines’ Rhapsody magazine, the supermodel announced that her retirement is near.
According to Crawford, she plans to retire from modeling a month after her 50th birthday, which is on February 20th. “I’m sure I’ll have my picture taken for 10 more years, but not as a model anymore,” Crawford tells the magazine. “And that’s OK. I’ve done it. I’ve worked with all these incredible photographers. What else do I need to do? I can’t keep reinventing myself. I shouldn’t have to keep proving myself. I don’t want to.”
With age, Cindy has already found a million things to do with her time outside of modeling. She’s got her own clothing line, furniture, and recently went on tour for her new book titled, “Becoming.”
Cindy has been in the game since she was a teenager. I think she’s earned the right to step back.
