Jose Conseco had a bit of a Cheddar Bob incident while cleaning his hand gun last night and as a military veteran, I’m annoyed just writing about it.
According to TMZ the former MLB star was at his home in Las Vegas, sitting at the table, cleaning his gun when it went off, shooting his middle finger right off his left hand. Apparently he didn’t know it was loaded. Rule #1, make sure your gun isn’t loaded before attempting to clean it.
Conseco’s fiancee says that he was rushed into surgery so doctors could attempt to salvage what they could of his finger/hand. They’ve already determined he will never have full use of his finger again.
Glad it didn’t end up worse. RIP to this little guy, though.
