Not that we truly care, but every now and then we get bored and we gaze at a celebrity’s photo wondering, “What is wrong with her face?” There’s this nagging feeling that something is different, but you can’t put your finger on it. That’s when it dawns on you, Hollyweird has gotten ahold of them and they’ve gotten botox.
If you’ve ever wanted to know how to determine whether a celeb has just gotten botox, Us Magazine has compiled a list of 5 helpful signs to look for. Check it out below.
1. Impossibly Wrinkle-Free Skin
“If Botox is done well, it is not that easy to identify,” Rand Rusher, RN, certified aesthetic nurse specialist of RR Aesthetics, tells Us Weekly exclusively. “But if you’re in your forties or older and don’t have any wrinkles, it’s a pretty good sign you have had some sort of neurotoxin.”
2. Frozen Features
“Movement is youthful,” Rusher, a skincare and injection consultant, tells Us. “When an area of the face is frozen with absolutely no wrinkles, you can assume the person has had a date with a needle.”
3. High-Shine
“When you look at a photo and see an area of the face that is extremely smooth and shiny,” Rusher says, “that can be an indicator that the person may have had Botox.”
4. Quick Denial
Clever clients can deny using Botox specifically without actually lying. “These days,” Rusher, whose 2011 show Pretty Hurts aired on Logo TV, tells Us, “you can confidently say ‘I don’t use Botox.’ This is because we have two additional options on the market. Dysport and Xeomin are also approved by the FDA in the U.S.”
5. Sweat Everywhere — But the Armpits
Some clients use Botox to prevent underarm sweat. However, “if your body needs to sweat, it will,” Rusher says. “Other areas of the body may have increased sweating — like your bum, face, etc.”
