On Tuesday, Khloe Kardashian dropped her new Good American denim line which caters to the “curvier, sexier and stronger in shape”. The brand is Made In America (Los Angeles) and is carried exclusively on goodamerican.com and in select Nordstrom stores. Millions of Khloe’s fans couldn’t wait for the line to open up shop so that they could get their hands on the latest Kardashian endorsed product. Only one problem for most of her fan base: the price is way too high, she needs to cut it!
Fans of the youngest Kardashian were taken aback when they checked out the Good American website and found that the clothing was out of their desired price range. The line features three different fits, with prices ranging from $149 – $215. It didn’t take long before Khloe Kardashian’s Instagram comments were full of disappointed potential consumers.
On one end, I know that $200 for denim is rather pricey. I personally would not spend that kind of money on jeans. However, her jeans are sold at Nordstrom and are right on par with brands such as True Religion, 7 For All Mankind, Rag & Bone and MOTHER. But is Good American on a True Religion level right now?
You be the judge. Will you be shelling out $200 to cop a pair of Good American? Do you think the outrage is warranted?
