Over the weekend, Republican presidential nominee, Donald Trump,  held a rally in Tampa, Florida, in a final attempt to reel in the votes.
As a result, a determined 12-year-old boy begged his mother to drive him to the rally, to protest Donald Trump’s treatment of people with disabilities. The boy, who has been identified as J.J. Holmes, felt inclined to protest the Republican nominee’s antics because he, too, had a disability. Holmes had cerebral palsy.
According to the Huffington Post, Holmes’ mother, Alison agreed to make the trip. However, when they arrived and began shouting “Hillary Clinton,” Alison says, Trump demanded they be removed.
In turn, sources say, Trump supporters responded with “U-S-A” chants, as they pushed Holmes’ wheelchair out of the rally.
“We were put out by security,” Allison said. “Mr. Trump kept saying, ‘Get them out.'”
According to reports, the next day, something spectacular happened to Holmes and his mother. The two drove to Kissimmee, Florida to watch President Barack Obama speak on behalf of the Democratic presidential nominee.
A woman, who witnessed the fiasco involving Holmes and his mother, arranged a meeting between the boy and the President of the United States. Apparently, he and Hillary Clinton are two of Holmes’ heroes, so, the woman believed a meeting would be a life-changing moment for him.
“This would be life-changing for JJ and also send powerful encouragement for all who live with disabilities and rise up despite them,” the woman wrote on Facebook.
After the speech, the president took the time to meet Holmes and shake hands with the determined protester.
