Steph Curry is cooking once again.

The reigning two-time MVP locked in another extraordinary accomplishment to add to his long list of record-breaking achievements.

Last night, Curry took position behind the arc and released, draining his 13th trey of the game. Just one game after missing all 10 of his 3-point attempts, for the first time in two years, Curry bounced back to set a new NBA record.

“This was a special night,” the superstar guard said of his notable night.

“I was hard on myself in practice the last two days. I had pretty good shooting sessions,” he said. Curry finished with 46 points in Golden State’s 116-106 win over the Pelicans on Monday. “I don’t overreact to games like that whether I go 0 for 10 or 2 for 12 or whatever it is. My process is the same, but I had another level of focus the last two days trying to get my rhythm back and see the ball go in.”

On Friday’s road loss against the Los Angeles Lakers, Curry’s league record-streak of 157 games with at least one trey was snapped, reports state. After the MVP failed to drain anything from deep.  However, last night with only 2:23 left to play, the superstar let it fly to break the mark. Apparently, prior to last night’s game, Curry held the record of 12 treys in one game along with Kobe Bryant and Donyell Marshall.

Now, number 30 stands alone, with lucky number 13.

Opposing players as well as the team’s coach, had nothing bad to say about the record-setter last night. They all chalked it up to Curry being Curry.

“Nothing you can do about it. He was being Steph,” Pelicans star Anthony Davis said.

“That was quite a show. Not at all surprising the way Steph bounces back from bad nights,” Golden State coach Steve Kerr said of Curry’s performance.

Curry wasn’t the only Warrior to light up the winless Pelicans last night. Klay Thompson tallied 24 points, as the Splash Brothers totaled 15 treys all together. Golden State newcomer, Kevin Durant added 22 to the Warrior’s win. Draymond Green reeled in his second double-double with 12 rebounds and 11 assists.

Additionally, Monday’s game marked 70 years to the day since the Warriors played their first game in franchise history, reports state. The team returns to the Oracle on Wednesday night to take on the Dallas Mavericks at 10:30 p.m. EST.
