On Monday night, the Washington Wizards took on the Houston Rockets on their home court. The team lead the first quarter, but after that, it just went from bad to worse. Not only did James Harden tally his fourth consecutive 30-piece accompanied by 10 assists, but late in the fourth,  Wizards’ star point-guard John Wall found himself heading to the locker room a little early.
Early on in the game, John Wall received a technical foul. So when the 2010 first round draft pick drew his second, after he bumped into an official, he was ejected. With 33.3 seconds left on the clock, Rockets up 111-106, Wall sighed and walked off.
On Wednesday, Wall was fined for the “inappropriate interaction with a game official.” According to reports, whether or not the interaction is intentional, any contact with an official is against the rules, so the league fined him $25,000. In addition to the contact, the NBA announced that Wall was also fined for “failing to leave the court in a timely manner following his ejection.”
Rocky start to the week for Wall and the Wizards. Apparently, the point guard planned to put Monday night’s woes behind him, however during the Wizard’s game against the Boston Celtics on Wednesday, Wall was ejected once again. This time, for a flagrant foul.
Wall made hard contact with Marcus Smart of the Celtics and pushed him to the ground, reports state. After the contact, Smart stood up quickly to confront Wall, who didn’t back down. Officials separated the two, called a flagrant 2 and Wall was ejected with his team leading in the fourth.
Ultimately, Wizards won in a 118-93 victory over the Celtics.
