White nationalists are praising Donald Trump’s decision to hire Steve Bannon as his chief strategist. It’s no question they’d back Bannon, a former Breitbart executive, his views are about as racist and sexist as theirs are.
If you’re not familiar with Breitbart, they’re a conservative website with articles such as “There’s No Hiring Bias Against Women In Tech, They Just Suck At Interviews,” and “Hoist It High & Proud: The Confederate Flag Proclaims A Glorious Heritage.” Let’s not forget the articles in which they refer to the LGBT community as the “Big Trans Hate Machine” and anti-Trump, neoconservative commentator Bill Kristol as a “Renegade Jew.”
Esquire.com even likened the hiring of Steve Bannon to basically hiring Ku Klux Klan leader, David Duke. In fact, David Duke is all for the hiring of Bannon.
“I think that’s excellent,” former Ku Klux Klan leader David Duke told CNN. “I think that anyone that helps complete the program and the policies that President-elect Trump has developed during the campaign is a very good thing, obviously. So it’s good to see that he’s sticking to the issues and the ideas that he proposed as a candidate. Now he’s president-elect and he’s sticking to it and he’s reaffirming those issues.”
“You have an individual, Mr. Bannon, who’s basically creating the ideological aspects of where we’re going,” added Duke. “And ideology ultimately is the most important aspect of any government.”
Bannon’s own wife called him anti-Semitic in 2007 after he allegedly said he did not want their daughter to attend a particular school in Los Angeles because of the numbers of Jews who went to school there.
What does this all mean to you? Donald Trump has hired a racist who is backed by the KKK and White Nationalists groups, to assist him in creating and carrying out policies. He has chosen someone who believes in white supremacy to assist him in running the country for the next four years. That is certainly a cause for concern.
