Redskins’ Josh Norman has accumulated another enemy in Dallas Cowboys star, Dez Bryant.
The matchup between the Dallas Cowboys and Washington Redskins on Thanksgiving day was an intense one. However, following the Cowboys’ victory, it was what happened off the field that has everyone talking. Norman and Bryant had a brief scuffle on the sidelines, which spilled into their post-game interviews. Bryant told reporters that the Redskins should “get their money back” for Josh Norman, while Norman told reporters that Dez threatened to “unload the clip” on him. Dez then took to Twitter to call Norman a liar, saying that Norman is a new level of disrespectful.
NFL.com‘s Ian Rapoport recently spoke to Josh Norman about the feud in an exclusive interview. After having some time to reflect, Norman seemed to be pretty much “over” talking about it.
“It just baffles me that we’re going back and forth,” Norman said. “I don’t know if there really is anything to say. What am I going to go back and forth for? It’s not a battle. It’s not a competition when the other person don’t show up. What am I competing against? I compete against myself every week.”
“I have obstacles every week,” Norman continued. “This is just one of the match ups, just one of the obstacles. This is what he gets up for, not me. He’s just another one of the guys that I face. One of the tall tasks they got me stacked up against.”
When it comes to his run in with Dez Bryant, Josh Norman says it’s nothing like his rivalry with Odell Beckham Jr.
“It’s not like with the guy from up in N.Y,” he tells Rapoport.
And while admitting the Cowboys are having a great season, Norman couldn’t help but to take one more jab at Dez Bryant.
“But it’s not like he carries them,” Norman said. “They carry themselves. That stuff he does, it’s just extra antics.”
