Colin Kaepernick has won the ultimate respect of his team. Following his silent protest against police brutality, many questioned how if he would keep his teammates supports. Well, it appears the San Francisco 49ers have made it pretty clear about how they feel about Kaep. They have just named him the winner of the team’s most prestigious award.
The team announced Friday that Kaepernick won the annual Len Eshmont Award, which is awarded to the player who exemplified the ‘inspirational and courageous play’ of former 49er Len Eshmont.
Eshmont was a member of the 49ers’ first team in 1946, and he died in 1957.
It’s good to see that whether the Niners agree with the way Kaepernick has protest this year, they still stand behind him as a person.
