Yesterday was a wild day for comedian Bill Cosby. After being charged with three counts of aggravated indecent assault stemming from an incident in 2004, Cosby spent less than 20 minutes in court where he arrived to face a Montgomery County judge who arraigned him and set his bail at $1,000,000. Cosby paid 10% of his bail amount and was then whisked to jail for finger printing and a mug shot.Â
Despite the circus surrounding the entire ordeal, Cosby says he plans to fight the charges.Â
“The charge by the Montgomery County District Attorney’s Office came as no surprise, filed 12 years after the alleged incident and coming on the heels of a hotly contested election for this county’s DA during which this case was made the focal point,” Cosby’s attorneys said in a statement. Â “Make no mistake, we intend to mount a vigorous defense against this unjustified charge and we expect that Mr. Cosby will be exonerated by a court of law.”
