You never know how the good you do for someone today will shape them in the future.

Following the Clemson Tigers winning a national title, a photograph of a young Deshaun Watson and Warrick Dunn began floating around on social media.  Warrick Dunn, who played 12 seasons in the NFL, is known to be very charitable.  In the photo dated November 2006, Dunn, alongside Habitat for Humanity, presented Watson’s family with a new, fully furnished, four bedroom, two-bath home.

Deshaun Watson’s mother,Deann, raised four children on her own in a cramped apartment in Gainesville, GA. One day, an 11-year-old Deshaun brought home a note from Habitat for Humanity. His mother jumped to the opportunity and worked 300 + hours to help build homes for needy single parent families before being presented with a home of her own.

“I felt grown having my own room,” Watson recalled on Saturday. “Just having my own bed, not really being squished, not really worrying about someone sneaking up on me, it was a great moment, a special moment.”

Through Warrick Dunn’s charitable foundation, the future college quarterback’s new home was fully furnished right down to a fully stocked refrigerator.

“We just try to help put people in safer environments and give kids an opportunity,” Dunn said. “You never know what impact you will have. You hope it’s a positive impact.”

For Watson, his family home was a huge part of his development into one of college football’s biggest stars.
