Police are getting hip to how thirsty some aspiring rappers can be and are using it against them. Previously we reported about Rick Ross’ lawyers luring a rapper to Ross’ mansion after he trespassed on Ross’ property and left his mixtape on the rapper’s doorstep. Now police officers in Austin, TX are following suit.
Shasirae Harvey, who goes by the name of 24 Razorback, had been evading arrest for over a year. Police had even kicked in the door to his home to find him. Aside from evading arrest, the 33 year old was wanted for possession of controlled substance with intent to deliver; unlawful possession of firearm by felon and possession of marijuana. So how did they manage to nab him? Police officers lured him to a radio station, apparently the rapper thought this would be his big break.
Austin Police asked Harvey to come down to local radio station, KLBJ, under the pretense that he would be interviewed. If you are from Austin, you would know that this is especially suspicious considering that KLBJ is a Rock & Roll station. They don’t, and have never, played rap music.
The entire sting operation went down unbeknown to the radio station. When Harvey arrived, he was quickly arrested. Radio host CJ Morgan, voiced his opinion on the bizarre situation, saying that it was completely reckless of APD to use the station as bait.
“It’s completely reckless for the detectives to [allegedly] have used KLBJ 93.7 and our actual address as bait. People are idiots and will assume we had something to do with this. Over the last few years, our station – specifically – and personalities have dealt with numerous threats from a variety of people online, at our offices, events and up-close in-person.
To fuel this flame is kind of insulting and irresponsible (literally had a nut bag here last week pounding on the glass and a dude that came inside our studios the week before).
So now I have to worry about some bro punching me at a event because he didn’t like getting his feelings on Facebook, the marauding hobos who constantly flock around free food, the angry drunks who get mad over our playlist, the schizophrenics who think the radio is talking to them and now, thanks to APD, a rapper and his posse.”
On the flip side, CJ was nice enough to post Harvey’s music on his page so other KLBJ fans could here.
Let this be a lesson to rappers, the music business is a BUSINESS. Stop being so thirsty that you end up setting yourself up. Hire management to handle your business affairs and if it sounds too good to be true, it probably is.

That’s a stretch to say thirsty plus it’s far from the truth. In the meantime thank you for covering story. Have a blessed and wonderful day. Good day
