The NFL has handed down a four-game suspension to Oakland full back Marcel Reece, for violating the league’s Performance Enhancing Drug policy.
Reece’s suspension will begin immediately, making him exempt from practicing or playing in the Raiders’ final game this season on Sunday. Reece will be able to participate in all off-season activities, including training camp and pre-season games. The suspension will continue for the first three games of the 2016-2017 regular season. Reece, who was recently awarded a spot in the 2016 NFL Pro-Bowl, will now have to forfeit the accolade.
Further specific details regarding the violation have yet to be released.
Vic Tafur, of the San Francisco Chronicle, has reported that Reece has already appealed the decision and was denied.
