Back in 2012 The Game and rapper 40 Glocc had a bit of a beef that got physical. One fight was posted to Worldstar and showed Game confronting (and beating up) 40 Glocc over back and forth trash talk the two participated in over social media. According to 40 Glocc, things got real when Game allegedly pointed a gun at him at a party and, with about 10 other men, chased him and beat him. Three years later, The Game has had to pay for it.
Last week a judge ordered Game to pay 40 Glocc $3,000 in the battery case. 40 Glocc originally asked for $4.5 million. A second phase of the trial has been set for January 14, in which a judge will determine if 40 Glocc should be awarded anything for punitive damages. “The court finds plaintiff’s total disregard for the truth while testifying results in his failure to carry his burden of proof on all causes of action except for the undisputed battery,” said Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Susan Bruguera.
40 Glocc sued Game back in 2012. “I feared I was going to die,” 40 Glocc testified. “Everybody’s got guns on me. My best defense was to run and get away.” This is a huge contrast from the trash talk 40 Glocc did on social media.
According to 40 Glocc’s testimony in court, he was leaving a party when he heard someone yell “Turn Up.” When he realized it was Game, who was armed, he ran. “He cocked it, put a bullet in the chamber and said, ‘You heard me, I said turn up,”‘ the plaintiff said. “I turned and ran. I got chased down.”
He says when Game caught up to him, he put the gun to his head. “I said, ‘Look at me, you don’t want to do that, get your hand off that trigger,”‘ 40 Glocc testified. “Everybody else was saying, ‘Shoot him, shoot him.’ My life was just flashing.” 40 Glocc said it was then that Game moved the gun to his chest, then everyone started attacking him. “Everybody just started punching me and beating me up.”
Not sure if the video below is the incident in question, considering it doesn’t show anything that 40 Glocc testified about. It’s nice for reference, I guess.
