So sad and unfortunate, but sometimes that’s just the way things tend to happen. In his debut game for the Cleveland Cavaliers, Andrew Bogut broke his leg.

On Monday, March 6, Bogut unfortunately broke his left leg during an away game against the Miami Heat. The 32-year-old center made his way to Cleveland in search of a championship run. Not to say that still won’t happen, but an injury to the tibia is not a joke.

“Initial x-rays and evaluation at The Q revealed a fractured left tibia. Bogut was taken to the Cleveland Clinic for further imaging and evaluation and additional updates will be made as they become available,” Cavs said in a statement.

Prior to signing with the Cavs this past Thursday, the Rockets, Spurs, and Mavericks were just a handful of the teams that were looking to pick Bogut up.

“I wasn’t aware that LeBron wears a No. 6 at practice, so they gave me a 6.5. I thought it was 65 at first. I didn’t really pay any attention to it. It was early in the morning, I just got to Cleveland a couple days ago, so I’m still a bit weary. Someone mentioned the point. It was a good joke. I have to get him back.,” Bogut said lightheartedly to ESPN.

Updates on Bogut’s condition will be made available soon we hope.
