Katherine Jackson did not show up in court this week in the elder abuse case she brought against her nephew in law, Trent, and Trent is now publicly questioning where she is.
Last month, the Jackson family matriarch filed for a restraining order against Trent. In court documents, she alleged years of mental abuse and claimed he used her credit card without her permission. According to reports, she traveled to London to stay with her daughter Janet, and the filing says his presence left her in a constant state of fear and confusion. Those are allegations and have not been proven.
In new legal documents obtained by TMZ, Trent claims Katherine’s absence is cause for concern and suggests her son Jermaine is behind the filings made in her name. According to TMZ, Trent says he has serious doubts about where she is. He points to a 2012 incident when she went missing and was later found in Arizona. Trent alleges that Jermaine and other relatives kept her isolated, including limiting her phone and television access, as a way to control the Michael Jackson estate. Those are Trent’s claims as reported by TMZ, and we have not seen a response from Jermaine to them.
Trent is asking the judge to either drop the case against him or order Katherine to face him in court. TMZ reports he believes either outcome will work in his favor, because he expects Katherine to contradict the claims against him, as he says she did in 2012.
