#GOP nominee, #DonaldTrump has yet to learn the art of being tactful, or at the very least mastered human decency. Mocking the Khan family, Trump feels he too has sacrificed greatly.
In one of the most honest speeches at the #DemocarticNationalConvention, #KhizrKhan questioned Donald Trump’s knowledge of the U.S. Constitution, asking Trump directly if he had read it. Khizr and his wife Ghazala, lost their son #HumayunKhan 12 years ago while he was away serving in the military. The selfless soldier was killed by a suicide bomber in #Baghdad.
Khan’s most resonating line came when he told Trump that “You have sacrificed nothing and no one”. The sacrifice that Humayun made in conjunction with his parents is one that should not be taken lightly. It is one thing to give your life to protect others, but as I have said before, to lay your life on the line for individuals that do not respect you simply because of your faith or ethnicity shows character and compassion that can not be rivaled. It transcends all conceived notions of nobility.
However, Trump feels that his sacrifices in real estate and employment opportunities he and/or his company offered are substantial enough for comparison. “I think I’ve made a lot of sacrifices. I’ve created thousands and thousands of jobs, tens of thousands of jobs, built great structures. I’ve had tremendous success”, Trump stated in an ABC interview with #GeorgeStephanopoulus
Earlier Trump stated in a response to #NewYorkTimes’ Maureen Dowd, “I’d like to hear his wife say something”- eluding to the idea that Ghazala Khan refrains from speaking due to her faith and culture.
The thing is, Mrs. Khan does speak. The organic words that told a story of pain and sacrifice Ghazala’s husband delivered were co-authored by Ghazala. She did not take the opportunity to speak because she is still grieving her son’s death 12 years later. A mother has sacrificed her son. There isn’t a mourning program that kicks the grief in 12 steps. For nine months she heard Humayun’s heartbeat and watched the miracle of life take place as her belly expanded. She labored, held his tiny hands and like most mothers, vowed to protect him. She and her husband raised a child that was unselfish and patriotic- loving a country more than he loved himself. It’s disgusting to know that a potential Commander In Chief has no reverence for Humayun’s sacrifice and his grieving mother.
Mr. Khan responded to Trump’s comments when he [Khizr Khan] appeared on CNN’s State of America with Jim Acosta. Khan stated, “He is a black soul, and this is totally unfit for the leadership of this country. The love and affection that we have received affirms that our grief — that our experience in this country has been correct and positive. The world is receiving us like we have never seen. They have seen the blackness of his character, of his soul.” Khan also hoped Trump’s family would teach Trump empathy.
Honestly, you can’t really expect anything from a person and draft –dodger that in 1997 equated the risk of contracting a sexually transmitted disease to his “personal Vietnam”.

Of course Trump took to twitter to comment on the situation.
Below are his tweets.
Its nice to see Trump can back track. Before he was the GOP nominee, Trump called for a ban on ALL Muslims entering the country. Now he is speaking only to radical Muslims.
