Alex Rodriguez is reportedly dealing with an extortion attempt from a woman he dated years ago, according to TMZ.
TMZ reported that the woman is allegedly demanding as much as $600,000 and has threatened to share private messages with media outlets if she is not paid. The outlet reported that A-Rod ended the relationship in 2014 and that she has allegedly asked him for money before without success. According to the report, the amount she is asking for went up after his relationship with Jennifer Lopez became public.
The woman has not been named in the reports. Rodriguez and his representatives had not publicly commented on the claims at the time. Bleacher Report and other outlets repeated TMZ’s report, and none of them said how TMZ obtained its information.
