The Carolina Panthers and the Golden State Warriors are, at this point, members of an exclusive club. An ‘only undefeated teams in their respective sports’ type of club. What makes it even better is that Steph Curry spent much of his life in Charlotte, NC., the very place where Cam Newton has led his team to an 11-0 start.Â
When asked who would lose first, Curry admitted that it would probably be the 20-0 Warriors. The only catch is, Curry hopes that nether team will lose before February… you know, the month of the Super Bowl. “It’s great to see them doing what they’re doing, 11-0 and looking forward to a big playoff run and Super Bowl appearance,” said Curry. “Just to be able to root for them back out in California, it’s a lot of fun.”  Curry went on to mention that the Warriors had an off-day at home in Oakland on the day of the Super Bowl, which is set to be hosted in Santa Clara, California. “No pressure,” he adds.
The unbeaten path to February will of course be less complicated for the Panthers, who would have to go 19-0, being that Warriors would need  to win their next 28 games. But given their current situation Curry isn’t putting it past his team.  “Nobody thought we could start 19-0. Why not keep it going? There’s a lot of great talent in this league. We’re obviously probably not going to go 82-0, but you want to approach each game that way and see what happens.”
