On Tuesday, North Korea successfully tested its long-range missile that can “reach anywhere in the world.”

According to CNN, the country’s leader, Kim Jong Un, orchestrated the launch, which reached a record height of 2,802 kilometers and flew 933 km for nearly 40 minutes. The missile then landed in the Sea of Japan, just before the country revealed it could hit targets anywhere in the world.

Following the launch, the country said it was now “a full-fledged nuclear power that has been possessed of the most powerful intercontinental ballistic rocket capable of hitting any part of the world.” Thus allowing the country to “put an end to the US nuclear war threat and blackmail” and defend the Korean peninsula.

In turn, the United States and Russia said that the missile presented no immediate threat to either country, as it didn’t display enough reach or range.

Just days after Donald Trump’s discussion with Japanese and Chinese leaders about North Korea, Jong Un initiated the long missile test, just in time for Independence day. As a result, nations are joining forces against North Korea’s “unacceptable provocations.”

Chinese President Xi Jinping, alongside Russian President Vladimir Putin, encouraged the country to stop the missile tests. They also asked the US and South Korea to share all joint military efforts with them. Prime Minister Theresa May said the United Kingdom “stood alongside the US and our allies to confront the threat North Korea poses to international security.” The United State’s Donald Trump took to Twitter to address Jong Un, saying “Does this guy have anything better to do with his life?”

“Hard to believe that South Korea and Japan will put up with this much longer. Perhaps China will put a heavy move on North Korea and end this nonsense once and for all!”
