On Friday, famed photographer Michael Miller filed a lawsuit against Kendall and Kylie Jenner for using his photos on their “vintage” T-shirts without permission. Miller said the Jenners used two images he took of Tupac Shakur and slapped their own images and logos on top of it for their “vintage” line. As a result, he slapped the girls with a lawsuit, demanding all profits the girls made from the shirts.
However, according to the fashion label, Kendall + Kylie only sold two shirts before pulling them off the shelves. On Sunday, the label released a statement to address the lawsuit, revealing it received the image from a company that had a license to sell them.
“The allegations are completely false and the lawsuit is baseless,” the label said. “There has been no infringement or violation of anyone’s rights.”
According to reports, the shirts retailed for $125, but were pulled after family members of Ozzy Osbourne and Notorious B.I.G. called them out for disrespecting the legends. Although the facts remain unclear, Kylie, who is also a big contender in the cosmetics business, has sold out her popular lip kits in a matter of seconds. But, the label maintains that it only sold two shirts, since the initial launch.
