Keyshia Cole is being sued for $4 million over an altercation that happened in 2014. According to TMZ, which obtained the lawsuit, a woman named Sabrina, who worked at Cash Money Records, claims she was attacked when Keyshia showed up at the penthouse of her then boyfriend, Birdman.
The suit alleges that Keyshia physically and verbally attacked Sabrina and made a demeaning remark to her afterward. Keyshia was charged with battery over the incident, and Sabrina was granted a restraining order at the time. Sabrina says in the suit that she and Birdman had only a platonic relationship and that she was there visiting a friend.
TMZ reports the damages sought include $50,000 for lost earnings, $300,000 for future lost earnings, $2 million for loss of use of a body part, $200,000 for future medical expenses, $500,000 for emotional distress, and $1.5 million for pain and suffering.
A lawsuit only lays out one side of the story, and the amount requested is not what a court would necessarily award. We did not see a response from Keyshia at the time of this report.
