With the Patriots defeated by the Denver Broncos, the Carolina Panthers are officially the last men standing.
The Panther’s solidified their 11th straight win on Thursday, with a very dominant 33-14 victory over the Dallas Cowboys.
Lately Panthers quarterback Cam Newton has been under a lot of scrutiny for doing the popular Atlanta based dance “dabbing.” However while some were offended by the dance, Cam was handling business in the endzone. After losing receiver Kelvin Benjamin to an ACL tear in the offseason, along with others, most people counted the Panthers out. Despite the adversity, the Panthers offense has brought a highly unpredicted light to their season.
The Carolina defense, has been a huge part in the team’s recent success. The defense allowed a franchise-low 14 rushing yards against the Redskins in week 11.
One of the main things that the Panthers have noted, is that their undefeated season has been the result of a total team effort, a very similar theme of the dominant Seahawks runs in previous years.
Though the team will continue to tell you that they’re not necessarily focused on a perfect season, it’s very possible. With just 5 regular season games left, and only one winning team to play, Carolina could very well go undefeated for the entire season.
