On Monday, a Philadelphia woman copped a plea for sexually assaulting an underage student, who she referred to as her “girlfriend.”
According to the NY Post, 28-year-old Nina Scott was in an eight-month relationship with a female student during her time as a teacher at The Village School, an establishment for troubled kids. Officials say the 16-year-old initiated the relationship with Scott back in February when she wrote the woman a note asking, “How would you feel if I kissed you?”
As their relationship progressed, the two had sexual relations on school property, in Scott’s car, and at her house. In addition, they exchanged over 30 letters throughout their affair.
In October, police were notified about the relationship after the girl transferred out of The Village School. Staff members of the establishment found letters and journal entries that detailed the relationship between Scott and the teen. Two months later, Scott was fired from her position and charged.
According to reports, Scott will serve a minimum of three months on house arrest, followed by five years of sex offender probation.
