Oakland Raiders cornerback Sean Smith is facing felony assault charges stemming from an incident that occurred on July 4th.

On Thursday, Smith was reportedly arrested and charged with “felony assault by means of force likely to produce great bodily injury and battery with serious bodily injury” for allegedly stomping out his sister’s boyfriend.

Although Smith maintains his innocence, the baller faces up to seven years in prison, if convicted. He will reportedly plead not guilty.
