Congresswoman Maxine Waters definitely gave everyone that “Auntie” moment at BET’s Black Girls Rock award show. The young spirited congresswoman accepted the Social Humanitarian award and gave a speech that set the audience on fire.
Waters specifically addressed Trump by saying “Not only will we resist you, we will impeach you Mr. President!”
In true Mrs. Waters’ fashion, she confirmed that while others may be confused by her toughness, she’s “Just a strong black woman” and didn’t leave the stage without declaring “If you come for me, I’m coming for you”.
We love Maxine Waters for always keeping it real. We can always count on her, if at any time we need to be reminded of who we are and what we are capable of.
