Usher’s legal team has filed a response to the herpes lawsuits brought against him, and it denies the allegations.
Attorney Lisa Bloom filed the suits on behalf of two women and a man, who claim Usher exposed them to herpes. Usher has not been proven to have done anything wrong, and the claims are allegations that have not been tested in court.
According to TMZ, Usher’s response denies that he had sexual relations with any of the three people who filed the suits. It also denies that he exposed any of them to the virus. The filing reportedly says the plaintiffs come to court with “unclean hands,” but TMZ reported that it does not explain what that means.
The response also argues, in the alternative, that the suits should not stand because any actions on his part would have been unintentional. According to the filing, if Usher did have the virus, he would not have known at the time. It further says that if any of the plaintiffs did have intimate moments with him, they “assumed the risk.”
