Jemele Hill Speaks On Two-Week Suspension and Donald Trump Tweets: “I Deserved That Suspension”

As Jemele Hill’s two-week suspension comes to an end, the ESPN host has finally spoken out about her punishment. TMZ caught up with Hill at LAX, where she explained that she had no hard feelings towards ESPN.

If you recall, the host was suspended for encouraging a boycott of Jerry Jones and his sponsors over his stance on the national anthem. ESPN said Hill’s comment violated the network’s social media policy, which led to her two-week suspension. However, many were not pleased with the suspension and called for a boycott of the network, all together. But now that the dust has settled on the matter, Hill has revealed that she believes ESPN’s acted in a way that they felt was right.

“I want people to understand this, there was never any restrictions placed on me about Twitter. Never,” she told TMZ. “So, I’ll be back on Twitter, I’ll be my usual self.”

⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

When asked if she felt she was treated fairly by the network, she said, “So here’s how this works. Um, it doesn’t really matter what I think. I think, you know, here’s the reality, ESPN acted what they felt was right. And, I don’t have any argument with that. I would tell people absolutely, after my Donald Trump tweets, I deserved that suspension. I deserved it. Like absolutely, like, I violated the policy, I deserved that suspension. Going forward we will be in a good healthy place, we will be fine,” she said.⠀⠀⠀

“The only thing I’ll ever apologize for is, I put ESPN in a bad spot. I’ll never take back what I said,” she added.
