Lying is something we’ve all experienced and is never good for either party: the person telling the lie or the person being lied to. There are tons of different kinds of liars but we narrowed it down to the five.
Exaggerative Liars – Sometimes our insecurities can lead us to gassing ourselves a little more than we should in an effort to seek approval from others. The effort spent on creating such a fictitious life could be spent on actually becoming the said person.
Deceptive Liars – These are the people who mislead others for their own selfish reasons by creating false impressions. Lying is like second nature to them. Remember that ex who said they were just co-parenting with their baby mama while actually still being involved with them? Or the woman who said she told you a lie to protect you? Those are deceptive liars at their finest. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
White Liars – People who tell white lies often think that their lies are harmless, as they often go undetected. If you’ve ever lied about why you were late to work or why you missed your homeboy’s birthday party, you fall under this category. After a while, a white liar can be deemed as disloyal or flaky. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Compulsive Liars – A compulsive liar is someone who habitually lies. Even when they don’t have to or when they know you’re on to them, they’ll continue to lie. They usually aren’t even concerned if they hide it well. Compulsive liars may suffer from low self-esteem and are often manipulative. ⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Omissive Liars – Ever had a partner ask about your day, but upon responding, you leave out the part where you ran into your ex to avoid fighting? “Omissive liars” are people who intentionally leave out hurtful or damaging information. But all things usually come to the light, so don’t be this person. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Have you encountered with any of these liars?
