On Tuesday morning, Mary Mary’s Tina Campbell announced on Instagram that she lacks the “support” she needs to go through with her “It’s Still Personal Tour.”
Campbell found herself in the middle of a social media whirlwind after she revealed her support of Trump. In an interview with The Root, Campbell explained her displeasure for both presidential candidates, but ultimately, “some of Donald Trump’s views on Christianity, honestly, is what caused me to vote for him,” she said.
Following the backlash from the interview, the singing duo sat down with the ladies of “The Real,” to discuss her decision, to which Campbell set the record straight once again, revealing that she chose her faith over anything else. But, now it appears her decision has come back to haunt her.
“We are grateful for those who were planning to attend but our overall ticket sales haven’t show that we have the support that we need to continue to tour at this time. We’re convinced that many more would love the opportunity to attend this praise filled, faith filled, entertaining, worship experience,” Campbell wrote on Instagram. “So we have decided to give ourselves time to reach all of those people and bring this amazing tour back in the spring of 2018, “ she wrote.
Hopefully, her fans will forgive her by then.
