The ‘90s are back in full effect. After 16 years, the cast of “Moesha” sat down with the ladies of “The Real” to discuss a potential reboot. During the discussion, Brandy, who played Moesha in the 90s hit, became overwhelmed with emotion.
“This is just such a great moment,” Brandy said. “This is beautiful. This is God. This is love. This is everything. Thank you guys so much for this moment.”
The show, which aired from 1996 to 2001, ended with a cliffhanger, which fueled the idea for a reboot. With Moesha’s little brother, Miles, getting kidnapped, Moesha moving in with her boyfriend Hakeem, and a pregnancy test being found in her dorm room, the reboot can pick up from anywhere the original show left off. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
However, two original cast members have since passed on, including Lamont Bentley, otherwise known as Hakeem, who died in a car crash in 2005, and Yvette Wilson, better known as Andell, who died in 2012 after battling cancer.
Still, the entire cast agreed that they would be would down for a reboot, with Marcus T. Paulk, who played Miles, throwing out the idea of a movie.
