Baller Alert Radio: “The Culture Deserves It” – Episode 13 Recap

Baller Alert Radio: “The Culture Deserves It,” featuring your lifestyle specialist Kenny Burns, with Ferrari Simmons and Su Solo, kicked off its 13th episode with a recap of the hottest topics and current events from the previous week.

In case you missed it, the hosts discussed Meek Mill’s harsh sentence of 2-4 years in prison. Despite the request of the prosecutor as well as the probation officer suggesting no jail time, the judge, who also reportedly asked for a shout out on a song, passed down a harsh sentence for probation violations. During the discussion, Rari pointed out that Meek’s situation is a perfect example of what happens in the world on a daily basis, and now it’s just on a larger scale because it happened to Meek Mill.

The hosts began to discuss Shemar Moore’s public service announcement, where he called out all the people who were commenting on the Baller Alert blog about his response to the Phaedra Parks dating rumors. As the segment continued, the hosts spoke on the sexual assault allegations that are dominating headlines, from Harvey Weinstein and Louis C.K. to Roy Moore. They then touched on LiAngelo Ball’s arrest in China, as well as Colin Kaepernick’s GQ cover as “Citizen of the Year.”

In the next segment, Simmons read this week’s Baller Mail about leaving your significant other after finding out he or she has cheated. First, the hosts talked about whether or not they would tell their friends and family members about their cheating mate. In which, all of the hosts agreed that your business should be kept to yourself, unless you want to be reminded of the situation, consistently. They then discussed the reason behind men’s “fuck-ups,” one of which included becoming too  complacent with the routine.

Su Solo then scrolled through Baller Alert’s comments for the Comment Creepin segment. This week, Young Thug shot his shot at his ex-girlfriend Jerrika Karlae, and the hosts all believe they will try their relationship one more time. On the other hand, Yo Gotti also shot his shot at Angela Simmons under her beach pic. Seems like he still has a crush on Ms. Simmons.

To wrap the episode, Kenfucious dropped some jewels about the court of public opinion. “Can’t nobody make you happy like you.”
