Meek Mill recently scored a victory within the prison system, despite yesterday’s back and forth over his bail hearing. Initially, it was reported that the judge that sentenced the rapper to 2-4 years in prison for violating probation, granted the rapper a bail hearing pending his appeal. Hours later, however, the hearing was canceled, as it was reportedly listed as a “clerical error.”

Now though, it appears the rapper has been given a minor victory in his fight against his harsh prison sentence. After the rapper’s lawyers filed legal docs to get him out of solitary confinement to preserve his mental state, TMZ reports that Meek Mill has been transferred to another prison to reside among gen-pop.

Following his arrest, Meek spent his days in solitary, as the prison officials believed it was the best way for them to protect the rapper. However, the rapper’s lawyers argued that Meek has earned respect in the streets. Not to mention, the confinement began to compromise the rapper’s mental state and creativity. However, the powers that be ruled in favor of the rapper and transferred him to State Correctional Institution in Chester, PA to receive his own cell in gen-pop.
