TMZ reports, that gymnast Gabby Douglas has just announced that she was also abused by her former team doctor, Larry Nassar, after two other U.S. gymnasts came forward with similar claims.

⠀⠀
Douglas issued a statement Tuesday, starting with an apology for her perceived victim shaming of her former teammate Aly Raisman. She then continued with how she too was a victim of sexual assault.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀
Douglas expressed that she did not view her comments as victim shaming because “I know that no matter what you wear, it NEVER gives anyone the right to harass or abuse you. It would be like saying that because of the leotards we wore, it was our fault that we were abused by Larry Nassar.”

⠀⠀
She continued, “I didn’t publicly share my experiences as well as many other things because for years we were conditioned to stay silent and honestly some things were extremely painful. I wholeheartedly support my teammates for coming forward with what happened to them.”

⠀⠀
Last week, Simone Biles called out Gabby for essentially telling Aly that women needed to dress modestly in order to avoid catching the attention of potential predators.

⠀⠀
Before then, Douglas never spoke about her own experiences, but now has come forward about the sexual assault she experienced from Nassar as well.
