Just days after NBC News fired longtime TV host, #MattLauer for “inappropriate sexual behavior,” Lauer’s wife, #AnnetteRoque has reportedly left their New York home and returned to her home country.

According to reports, Roque was last seen at their home on Wednesday, just hours after the “Today” show hosts announced Lauer’s firing. Days later, a source told Page Six that Roque had caught a flight out to the Netherlands to be with friends and family, however, it remains unclear if the couple’s three children went with Roque or stayed in New York.

Although Roque has yet to release a statement about her husband’s inappropriate behavior, the couple’s 20-year marriage has been on the rocks since 2006 when Roque filed for divorce, Fox News reports. At the time, Lauer offered Roque $5 million to stay in the marriage to protect his reputation, though previous reports revealed that Lauer “regularly cheated on his wife,” and that “everyone knew.”
