Donald Trump Suggests We Boycott Starbucks

Starbucks unveiled their red holiday cups recently and a few things were noticeably missing, the Christmas decorations. The lack of holly and snow flakes has caused quite a stir for some, who have called the new cups a blatant example of “The War Against Christmas.” For others, Christmas isn’t about snow flakes on a disposable paper cup and thsi is much adu about nothing.

During the Trump campaign rally in Springfield, Ill recently, Trump stood with those against the new Starbucks cups. “I have one of the most successful Starbucks in Trump Tower,” Trump told the crowd. “Maybe we should boycott Starbucks? I don’t know. Seriously, I don’t care. By the way, that’s the end of that lease but who cares.”  The crowd cheered. “If I become president, we’re all going to be saying Merry Christmas again, that I can tell you. That I can tell you. Unbelievable,” Trump added.

From a guy who thinks Black Lives Matter is a hate group, I can’t take Trump or anything he does seriously.  My thoughts on the Starbucks cup is simply this, it…is…a…cup. It is a piece of paper that you drink a hot beverage from and throw away. It holds very little value, especially when it comes to religion. Christmas, at no point in time, has ever been defined by a Starbucks cup. I don’t look at Starbucks cups for my daily dose of holiday cheer. IT’S A CUP! Lastly, this is America and we must come to the realization that EVERYONE does not celebrate Christmas and that is okay. We can’t force one religion down on to others. Then again, IT IS A CUP!

For Christ sakes, it is just a cup.
