On Tuesday, LeBron James reached another NBA milestone in his historic 15th season. The Akron-bred athlete hit his 30,000 point against the San Antonio Spurs, joining an elite club of NBA greats, including Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, Kobe Bryant, Karl Malone, Michael Jordan, Wilt Chamberlain and Dirk Nowitzki.
Just ahead of the game, only 7 points from the major feat, James took to Instagram to congratulate himself on the “accomplishment/achievement tonight that you’ll reach!” Hours later, just before the end of the first quarter, James hit a jump shot to become the youngest player to reach 30,000 career points. ⠀⠀
But, in true Bron fashion, he one-upped himself by setting two historical records with the same shot. According to the NBA, James also became the first player in NBA history to reach 30,000 points, 7,000 assists, and 7,000 rebounds.

James’ accomplishment was acknowledged by the Spurs’ home crowd, who congratulated the King with a standing ovation. The superstar’s family and friends shared their thoughts on social media, while several celebrities gave their remarks via a video message. Fellow superstars from the likes of Jay-Z, Drake and Kevin Hart congratulated the greatest player in the world on the milestone, while the NBA Commissioner congratulated Bron in a separate statement.
