Baller Alert Radio: The Culture Deserves It, featuring your lifestyle specialist Kenny Burns, with Ferrari Simmons and Su Solo, kicked off its 22nd episode with a recap of the hottest topics and current events from the previous week.
In case you missed it, the hosts discussed the Grammys and Jay-Z’s Grammy snub. Although Hov has not supported the Recording Academy in the last few years, he arrived this year and should have at least received one of his eight nominations. While Bruno Mars and Kendrick Lamar were deserving of their awards, there were a few injustices throughout the night, including a Migos snub (show involvement).
The hosts then transitioned to Van Jones’ new show, which featured an appearance by Jay-Z, where he discussed topics from Colin Kaepernick to Donald Trump.
As the episode continued, the hosts discussed Dr. Larry Nassar’s sexual assault, which took place at Michigan State University, Magic Johnson’s alma mater. Over the weekend, the legendary baller took to Twitter to condemn the actions of those who knew about the misconduct. He also called for the firing of anyone who was aware. What are your thoughts?
Next, Simmons jumped right into Baller Mail. “My boyfriend of 11 years left me to work it out with his baby mama. It didn’t work out, now he wants me back. What should I do.” Well, according to Burns, 11 years is a very long time to be with someone – however, it seems like the man is trying to do the right thing for the child. But, it’s on the woman if she should take the man back, even though SuSolo believes she should leave him alone. What do you think?
Finally, Solo read off this week’s comment creeping, which came from one of Fetty Wap’s baby mamas. Guess which one?
As the episode wrapped up, Kenfucious shared a special message about gratitude. Kenfucious says when you pray, be thankful without asking for something, “your blessings will become abundant.”
