The legal fight between Too Short and a woman who sued him in January is getting bigger.
Last month, a lawsuit was filed against the rapper alleging sexual battery, sexual harassment, gender violence, gender discrimination and false imprisonment. Too Short has denied the allegations, and he has called the suit “blatant outright extortion,” according to TMZ.
Now, weeks after the first filing, the plaintiff, Teana, has refiled the case with a new claim of defamation. TMZ reports the new claim comes in response to Too Short’s public denial, in which he suggested she was in it for the money.
According to court documents TMZ reviewed, Teana says those statements are untrue, that they hurt her reputation, and that they were meant to keep her quiet and add to her suffering.
These are allegations in a civil case. Too Short has denied the claims, and none of them have been proven in court. We will keep you posted as the case moves along.
