Back in 2016, rapper Wiz Khalifa released his single “Most Of Us.” Well…. Let’s just say that single may not really be his. Earlier this week, Khalifa was hit with a lawsuit from an up and coming rapper Cymple Man that he met back in 2012.
According to #Complex, the two met in an airport in Salt Lake City. Cymple gave Khalifa two copies of two different songs in hopes of collaborating with Khalifa, and his career taking off.
Let Cymple Man tell it though, Khalifa’s “Most of Us” “unmistakably copies the essential elements” of the songs he presented to him.

#TMZ reports that Cymple Man is suing Khalifa for damages and is asking him to stop using the song.

Question is, why so late? Complex continues to state that Cymple’s team discovered the alleged infringement in 2016 and made “multiple written requests.”

The requests were sent to Khalifa’s defendants, Atlanta Records, and Rostrum Records to stop the use and sale of the song, but all requests were denied.
