Just days after Seal encouraged women to share their stories about sexual misconduct, the singer was hit with allegations of his own.

Last month, a source close to the L.A. County Sheriff’s Department confirmed Tracey Birdsall filed a sexual battery complaint against the singer, alleging that Seal forced himself on her, groped and tried to kiss her. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

But now, according to TMZ, the L.A. County District Attorney’s Office has rejected the case for lack of evidence to corroborate the allegations. In addition to that though, the TMZ reports that the statue of limitations were up, as the actress claimed she was assaulted a full year ago.

Amid the allegations, Seal has maintained his innocence, but now it appears he’s in the clear for the criminal charges.
