Apple to Develop Scripted Series Based on the Early Life of Kevin Durant

According to Deadline, Apple is developing a new scripted series inspired by the early life and career of NBA player Kevin Durant.

Written and directed by Reggie Rock Bythewood, the basketball-themed series, titled ‘Swagger’, will take viewers inside the world of Amateur Athletic Union basketball in the city of Washington D.C. and its players, coaches, and families.

The forthcoming project originated from Kevin Durant’s media company, Thirty Five Media, in partnership with Imagine Television.

Durant himself, and his business partner, Rich Kleiman, are set to executive produce on behalf of Thirty Five Media, along with Imagine Television’s Brian Grazer and Francie Calfo.

“We want to tell great sports stories and produce great sports content,” Klieman told Deadline. “We want to tell these stories on as many platforms as possible.”
