Back in 2013, NFL superstar Aldon Smith was ordered to fork over $9,007 per month in child support for his son. Two years later, the baller was suspended for one year without pay after a drunk driving incident led to misdemeanor hit-and-run charges.
Now though, in the wake of Smith’s extended suspension, the baller is looking to reduce his child support payments before he falls behind any further.
According to TMZ, Smith owes nearly $79,000 in support, but he believes it could only get worse, as he remains unemployed.

“I have had no income since November 2015,” Smith said in documents obtained by the publication. “I have done my best to stay current, but without an income, I have fallen behind.”

Back when the support was put into place, Smith says he was making $3 million per year, at $250,000 a month. But now, as he awaits reinstatement, his financial situation has changed, drastically.

On the other hand though, sources close to the situation say Smith is full of bologna, as he has continued to live a lavish lifestyle in the wake of his suspension. However, the case is due back in court in May, which could be around the time Smith is possibly reinstated.
