A former University of Hartford student charged in a roommate harassment case will not serve jail time, according to Vibe. Brianna has been approved for a probation program that can wipe the case from her record if she follows the rules.
Under the terms reported by Vibe, Brianna must complete 200 hours of community service, including 50 hours at a literacy center in the Greater Hartford area and 50 hours with a special service group. Once the hours are done, the charges of breach of peace and criminal mischief are expected to be dismissed.
Her former roommate, Chennell, agreed to the terms. Vibe reports that Brianna is not allowed to contact Chennell and must complete an evaluation as part of the deal. Chennell said the experience made it hard for her to trust people, but added, “By giving her this second chance, I hope she will change her ways and finds love for all mankind no matter what race.”
