Jonathan Martin’s attempt to call out and confront his bullies has resulted in legal consequences for the former baller. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Officials brought Martin in on February 23 to inquire about the threatening message that was posted on Instagram, which read, “When you’re a bully victim & a coward, your options are suicide, or revenge.” Also in the post was a shotgun and bullets, with five accounts tagged, including former Dolphins teammates Richie Incognito and Mike Pouncey.

The two were accused of bullying Martin back in 2013 when he played for the Miami team, which eventually led to Martin’s downward spiral, as he suffered from depression and attempted suicide.

Now though, in the wake of his threats, the Los Angeles District Attorney’s Office has filed charges against him. According to ESPN, Martin has been hit with four counts of making criminal threats and one count of carrying a loaded firearm on March 13.
