In the wake of the mounting sexual misconduct allegations against Russell Simmons, the music mogul is firing back with claims of his own.
Back in January, aspiring filmmaker Jennifer Jarosik filed a $5 million lawsuit against Simmons, claiming he raped her in Los Angeles – five years after another alleged assault in New York. In turn, Simmons denied the allegations.

Now three months later, Simmons has filed new court docs with evidence to prove Jarosik is a fraud.

⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
In the docs, Simmons says he and Jarosik had been friendly for over a decade and occasionally had sex. However, according to Simmons, it was always consensual.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Simmons claims Jarosik would often send him unsolicited nudes and loving text messages, including weeks after the alleged 2016 rape, which has led Simmons to believe this is all a money grab.

⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
In fact, Simmons’ lawyer says Jarosik only came forward with her claims “after hearing that women were able to recover money for real abuse by sexual predators.” He also says the woman has a “propensity to exaggerate,” in addition to “untreated mental health issues.”
