Trey Songz has dodged a major bullet in his felony domestic violence case.
According to TMZ, the singer will not be charged for allegedly punching a woman during NBA All-Star Weekend, as the L.A. District Attorney isn’t convinced that things went down the way the victim said.
Back in March, the alleged victim, Andrea Buera, accused Songz of beating her to the point of a concussion for talking to another man. Days later, the singer turned himself in to officials in an effort to cooperate with the investigation. However, he maintained his innocence and accused Buera of lying for a come up.
Now, just weeks later, L.A. officials say Songz’s lawyer provided several witness statements that contradicted Buera’s initial account of the incident, which reportedly occurred during NBA All-Star Weekend in February. In fact, Shawn Holley even provided officials with information that compromised Buera’s credibility.

As a result, according to TMZ, the case will be referred to the L.A. City Attorney to determine whether or not Songz will be slapped with a misdemeanor for the alleged assault.
